Friday was the start of my annual leave... 1 week off to do what i like!

This weekend I went up to Warrington, Liverpool and Birmingham.....



Left London about 4pm straight from work drove to Warrington.... a 3.5 hours trip took 5 hours... the journey was so crap cos of the roadworks on the M1, Accidents and Rain...

Reached the Warrington Holiday Inn at 9pm wasn't even in the mood to go and drink etc so just went to bed.

Next day after Breakfast did the short drive to Liverpool... went to the Moorfields area to see the newly installed art piece artwork called "Turning the place over" by Richard Wilson.





This was art that appeared to all walks of life. Everyone who went past it stopped to look..... it was nice to see that art is actually reaching out to a wide audience for once.

After spending the morning in Liverpool drove down to Birmingham... to do some shopping and have dinner in the China town there....

left Birmingham about 9pm started the journey back to London.... we go stuck on the M1.... they closed part of the motorway to demolish a bridge which caused a massive tailback... we was moving really slowly... a 2 hour journey took 5 hours.... by this time i was really tired and falling sleep.... finally got home at 2am.... really tired.





has been there for a while. Sunday.... Went to Edgware to have dinner at this Thai/Jap restaurant called Thai Edge... it was really nice it was all you can eat day so it was unlimited food.... which was really good... cos when you think of all you can eat you get that impression it will be those buffet style where the foodThis wasn't the case the food was made to order and the sushi was nice as well!

While in Birmingham I went to watch Shrek 3 and Fantastic 4 ... Shrek was really funny i love how the king Frog dude died then came back to life then died again... it's a must watch film.... Fantastic 4 was a rubbish movie... lucky i didn't pay for it....

Good News: my only mate who was working with me is back!!!!! he has successfully applied for a new position in the systems team. So atleast i will have someone to speak to now....

I'm of to Warrington, Liverpool and Birmingham now... Enjoy the weekend.

I've finally cracked!!!! I miss my old work place.... My day consist of mostly working on my own... i don't socialise at all... I try to but they seems to all click already... and they are much older than me.

Ok, maybe i was quite stress at my last job... but working with BT health is a Health risk!
I thought it was just me but my work mate at my current place is having a break down from BT as well...

Work at my new place is much slower pace which is good gives me time to go on facebook....

But I really miss the social factor of working at INPS. I miss my old work mates :(

I miss it so bad i made a video....

i hate politics... and getting many organisations to work with each other is like getting Bush to admit there weren't any chemical weapons in iraq.

When theses things happen in meetings i switch off and start taking pictures.... notice my notebook is shut :p



I also managed to make a fool of myself by saying something stupid.... i feel sometimes i get pressured to speak cos people look at me.... i don't like that....

Even though i was ill I still decided to take part in this 10K walk because i thought people are suffering with more than the flu out there.

I had real issues with filming this video blog using a camcorder instead of a digi cam... the codec it used really hates Vista... anyway managed to finishing the producing the video blog but i can't export it so i had to refilm it on my digicam... NICE (!)




I must admit a 10k walk is actually harder than a 10K run.... and it was quite hot yesterday as well :(

There was some drama when Victoria's flip flops broke so the girls rushed to H&M and we still managed not to come last!

aarrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh been ill this week... i thought i had just really bad hayfever... but it is actually the flu... so missed work....

the other night went out with a friend for dinner and chat... ended up having a feel drinks at the Verve in covent garden... it was a shame i was driving, i really wanted to drink .......

after walking a while ended up at County Hall. Went into the Namco wonderpark... i haven't been there for ages... this is where i spent hungout during my college and uni days along with the other 70% of people i know on facebook hahaha :p



Anyway went to the bar for more drinking... i was quite embarassed that a girl could handle there drink better than me if i had the same amount of shots i would have been pissed ....

oh well its a good thing cos i'm when i'm pissed i hate it :(

Talking about drink... Sukh one of my ex work mates introduced me to a japanese liqueur called Midori (japan most popular Liqueur).... it's really nice but made me really pissed....

Anyway since the xmas party where i drank this stuff i have found it hard to find it in off-licenses.... but while shopping in Chiswick the other week i went into a place and saw it on the top shelf gathering dust! i brought it and the shop keeper started chatting saying "no one ever buys that" i replied "yeah i can tell its dusty"

Anyway its a wicked drink... i keep it simple just a shot of midori and lemonade ..... a nice summer drink!

Well work is great.... it took ages for management to decide if i should get a laptop or a pda ... i personally wanted to get a laptop so i could work on one machine when i go to different locations instead of hot desking and having temp loggings.

they have now decided that a pda is enough... cos all i really need is to check my mail.... so i believe they was gonna give me a XDA but i found out today that no i'm not cos they ran out and its going to be a blackberry type one now which they have to order... problem is and its with the N*H*S in general ... everything is slow... i've waited 4 weeks to sort this out now... and nothing is sorted.

It took 4 weeks to issue me with a mobile as well... nothing seems to be fast... don't get me started with the IT projects :p

After someone at my old workplace sending a daming email to my project manager about data security... a major debate started on the fundamentals of this project.... and the type of data being transmitted meant it was really serious.

Being the technical lead on this I suggested duh yeah we need encryption! and by saying that i have created more work for myself now..... oh joy!

What i don't get is that something like this should have been done at the beginning not near the end of deployment... everything has to be tested again....

I think its been a great waste of money so far... someones gonna get sacked if this doesn't go live by next year....

oh well......

Friday night saw myself and Jess going to see the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra .... this time i managed to secure myself some really good seats... prob best in the house... it was really nice shared the box with only 3 other people.

Anyway this was the last of the themed events for this year... tonights one focused on Movie scores... I thought it wasn't as good as the other one i went to but still enjoyable in its own right.

Sat went to reunions of childhood friends... basically the family came over from Australia so it was quite a big thing.

Afterwards went met up with Maureen before she departed to the states again... had an enjoyable time....
