Ever had something happen that could change your life? I just had one of them the past few days and i really hope it does come true.
This weekend i've had a peaceful one... I took my parent to have Dim Sum in China town...
After that, I took them back to High Street Kensington so they could pick up their car... After that i raced down to Eailing West London to have Dinner...
I went to a Japanese place called Okawari.... best shashmi i've eaten in a while...
Also this weekend my car was in a mess .... fri night i decided to park my car on the street as i arrived home late and couldn't be bothered to park it in the garage. well the next morning the car had sawdust all over it!!!!!! they were cutting the branches of the trees off which was causing alot of saw dust so on sunday i took the car for a wash and at that point i decided to top up the car with Supaguard! Supaguard is a type of wax you pay for when you first purchase a car from VW its meant to protect the car etc... well i applied it and er well it didin't go to well.... hopefully i haven't ruined it! The wax was very hard to rub off!
You know sometimes i sit at my computer and say to myself "what next?" Sometimes i think what a mess i've put myself in. My love life is such a mess. I don't even know where to start... Sometimes i just think i do it on purpose i.e makes things hard for myself. No matter how happy I try to feel about this subject. Deep down inside of me i feel is down and out. Not all stories have happy endings.. but i wish this one would.
I really miss friends playing the piano to me... i think it's the most relaxing instrument to play. I've spent many hours in the music rooms and halls at uni listening to my friend play the piano to me... So tonight i share one of my fav you tube vids.... this is one of my all time fav tunes... It's First Love by Utada Hikaru.
Had a Webcam call from Athena the other day haven't spoke to her for ages... I can confirm she is still a Chav... she has been stalking my blog apparently....
BTW try reading her blog.... You'll need a PhD to actually understand what she is trying to say! (Links on the left)
Friday night went out to have dinner with Thanh, Yen and Chi .... i had to choose the place to eat so i decided on SriThai Soho. With the Famous Chef Ken Homs being the Executive Chef you expect it to be nice... and it was!
At the place there was one ladyboy working there... it was soo nasty it just looked like a guy in a dress!!!!
The White wine we had was the nicest i've tasted for a while (Riesling Spy Valley New Zealand) and no doubt as always i felt light headed from a glass and a half :(
The food was quite tasty.... The Grilled Swordfish was very tasty and perfectly cooked.
After that went LV to play a bit of pool...
Then went home.
[Girls playing spot the difference]
Tonights You Tube feature Phil Moulson (some of the oldskool lot will know him) check it out anyway.... really cool dance routine.
Firstly I would like to say sorry for all the Sugababe fans i have offended with my last post... it was actually a joke and i would have paid the money to go and see them if i had money... but my job doesn't pay me that much to do that. Sorry again!
Onto my blog
As some of you know i'm allergic to seafood and dust and i complained about it all the time but i guess it's not as bad as my sister.... my sister had a bad reaction to some mussels she ate on Sat and she came out with bumps everywhere... on Monday night my parent had to call 999 cos she felt weak.... our GP has told us that her allergy is quite bad that she has to carry around an Epipen from now on (A Pen injector which shoots out a dosage of epinephrine).... It's quite serious cos if you get an allergy this bad you can go into anaphylactic shock which you can die if not treated quickly. I think you die from the airways being blocked.
So the bad thing is she can't eat seafood anymore... Poor Sister... gotta becareful!!!!
So it's a lesson to be learnt... if you have an allergy BECAREFUL as something which doesn't seem harmful can turn really bad!
Anyway more from the car show..... It's a really bad idea to go to a car show when you've just brought a car. I really liked the look of the SEAT cars but when you get inside you notice it's quite plan and lame.... the Vauxhall Corsa was very disappointing...
That day i didn't take the Car it was sooo nice actually travellling on the Tube. I actually saw people (it's quite boring driving and not seeing people). On my back to High Street Kensington I was thinking maybe i should start commuting to work again but then i thought about the bombings which happened last year and i thought maybe thats not a good idea.
Below is Yen's Reaction when i told her a Golf GTI was better than a Honda S2000 ... quite funny really i've never seen someone so against something i said :p
Dodge Caliber - It's good value for the price you pay as you know i really wanted one of these... that was until i got behind a Honda and saw all the flashy Gadgets!!!!!
I made Chi sit on the floor for ages :p SORRY!!!! lol
Morning went to work to pick up a server that chris was throwing away... ( cheers for that Chris) then i went into central to get a hair cut... cost me £26 and it looks crap... after that went London HK for a meal, Then it was on to Colidale to pick up some sashimi.
Later on I went to help my mate paint there restaurant ... it was quite cool as i helped choose the colours etc maybe i should be a Interior design consultant.
Sun - Boy where do i start!
Today Thanh, Yen, Chi and myself went to Brighton for Dim Sum. So 12 pm we met at my work place in Battersea. It took us 3 hours to get to Brighton!!!!! Never take the A23 it's the most crappest route ever (2 lanes merging into 1 then into 2 again then 1 again), we hardly went over 7mph. We were so bored we started to play I spy and shouts of lets turn back was heard!
I was so frustated that I was going crazy at the wheel.... So after 3 hours driving there was a massive q for the car park... by this point i really needed to go toilet so i parked the car and ran to the toilet (which i didn't know where one was)... my natural instincts made me run into the direction of the seafront. Not finding one i ran back to the guys and they suggested why don't i go to the one in the restaurant... i was like "oh yeah!" I had driven for so long i actually forgot why we actually travelled down here for.
So Dim Sum. We went to China Garden (prob one of Brightons Biggest Chinese Restaurant). Was it worth the trip... the general reaction to the food was it was "OK" ..... so hmmmmmm
After that we say on the beach for a while until a grey mist started creeping towards us... so doing the clever thing we walked away from it and ended at the pier.... was on that for a while until it started getting really cold and you couldn't even see the land... so we thought maybe we should go home...
On the way home traffic traffic traffic decided not to go the same way as getting to Brighton so we took a detour to Kingston and go home that way!
that only took 2 hours was wasn't that bad... I think we picked a bad day to go... it was actually cold as well... The only happyness we actually had was getting back to Battersea and having a drinking in the middle of the street!
Saying that all that has happened has actually made today very interesting.
2AM felt really hungry so me and my mate went to china town do get a bite to eat.....
now if your really hungry maybe going into central at this time is not a good idea... all i kept seeing was vomit everywhere, this put me off eating a bit. Central London is fast becoming a 24 hour thing shame it's circled around getting absolutley pissed.
i used to not care what i used to write on my blog, but i decided to make sure i protect the privacy of people around me but at the same time still write a blog. Maybe i'm a victim of my own sucess. So what makes a blog like this so interesting?
I'm actually happy That i have a network of friends who write blogs... it keeps me updated with what they are doing.... I think it brings people more together.... It's like when i met Gemma and Anna the other week... we were dicussing what was written on our blogs....
After what happened in April "hacking incident" I have become much more happy. I've realised many things about people which has only made me a stronger person. I've seen the true nature of some (positive and negative).
Valentines I was sad i was going to spend it alone but a friend saved the day... Guess that still doesn't feel the empty hole in my heart.
This time last year I had a choice between going back with a girl i went out with for more than 5 years or a new flame... that was the hardest thing i had to decide on in recent years... Did i regret on the choice i made. No not one bit.
So this year where do i stand. An empty hole in my heart that needs to be filled. Trying so hard to fill it. Really wished it was filled soon.
Tonight Youtube just reminds me when i had to go to Pineapple in Covent Garden and just watching the peeps do cool moves!
Today the temp was like a normal day in Thailand! Actually i just checked and Thailand is 33c today but humidity will make it feel much worst!
Didn't eat much today was too hot to do anything like that. On the way home my car reported the outdoor temp as being 37.5c!!!!!!! and when i got home the temp that was recorded on my weather station was 40c!!!!! (But was also reporting rain in the next 24 hours)
Don't forget this is London!!!!
Thank god i have air con!!!! I think people in london should consider them as something that is normal to have. In hot countries Air con is as normal as having a fridge. With hot weather ever increasing in the UK i think eventually everyone with get air con.
I actually wanted to go out this evening but it's just too hot to do anything...
Drove to brighton with a friend to spend some time in the sun, seafood and the Brighton Hip-Hop Festival.
The Weather was fantastic.... why go abroad when you have wonderful weather like this... Brighton was totally packed!!!! was really hard to find parking...
Brighton is such a cool place to go to now.... trendy bar, restaurants and club its a socialites dream.
The atmosphere was really fun & fulfilling, just loads of people drinking with there mates on the seafront... quite nice....
The Regency down the kings road in brighton is nasty don't go there... last time i went there was with Waidat, Eva and Linda over a year ago... it seems nice last time but this time.... it was yuck! the mussels felt very over cooked and left to one side for too long....
on the way back i was so tired and i was actually falling asleep at the wheel... and there wasn't a service station to stop and rest till i got to Heston... so stopped at Heston for an hour to sleep... was soo tired...
Next day was driving my parents to a BBQ when my mum commented on my Ministry of Sound CLubbers guide 2006 album.... she was saying that this was making me fall asleep... then it hit me!!!!! It was the CD which was making me fall asleep the night before....!!!!! So i have now got rid of the CD.
For the International readers Brighton is here (About 1.5 hours from London).
Tonight's Youtube is the Latest tune from M-flo taken from there double A side single. It is such a catchy tune. The Video is a quite clever they have got lookalike kids to play m-flo and Minmi in the music vid.
Dam the heat is causing all my comps to go down.... My proxy server and my security system went down.... haven't had time to even look at why its broken... Now my main server went down... The main server controls, my Terminal services, backup proxy, webserver, and file server. Now that went down..... reason being ... over heating... so now i have opened the side and i am blowing a fan straight onto the cpu.
DAM HEAT!
[Not very glamorous but this is the server that controls part of this site. ]
Youtube is prob gonna make a major impact on the way media is brought to us... look at this clip for example, this is a clip of an air raid in haifa israel which happened the other day... Watching this clip make you think how safe you are in your part of the world compared to others.
Today was well funny.... I'm actually gonna devote this blog entry to Arup Roy...
Someone sent out a company wide email to ask if they wanted to play football on the 20th etc.... Arup not reading who was on the email list (thinking it was from just us lot) clicks reply all and slates the labour turn over of our department. He had sent the email to everyone int he company including the Directors and Managers.
That was the funniest thing i have ever seen ... i was cracking up for ages!!!! afterwards he tried to recall the emaill.... but that didn't work....
Anyway Big up to arup i have created a Mastercard Priceless spoof just for you.
Mariyam played a trick on me today i wasn't to happy about it.... :( was quite mad about it... but i've calmed down now :p
Ever been so bored that time ticks so slow that it takes ages for even 5 min to past.... sometime i can't believe that i even manage to even see them through.
Worst/depressing Places on earth - Athens Airport - Waited 12 hours for a connecting flight to london! my mp3 player ran out of batt then i was doomed! The decor of the airport is just plain boring there was nothing to do... Edinburgh airport - quite a small airport... the BMI flight was delayed for 4 hours ended up being the last plane to leave for the night... depressing to see other london flights leave on time (even the easy jet ones) and the only people in the terminal left are the people waiting for the shitty flight. Gare du Nord, Paris France- I seem to spend so much time bumming about in this station int he past five years... it hasn't changed much at all... the shop size vending machine is still there... problem with this place is that the eurostar terminal is small so you just endlessly stare at people from the balcony (live the above picture)
Actually the worst airport on earth is....!!!!!! Moscow airport i stopped there once when the country was still a communist one and it actually scared me... it was the most static/depressing place i have ever seen the place itself looks very er boring! the staff wasn't smilling... the ladies were not fit... and officials looking at your passport scared the shit out of you... lucky i was young so time passes quick....
Tonight got so annoyed i don't understand why people just make excuses.... they blatantly didn't bother at all and instead of saying that, they just make an excuse... if someone spends there whole life making excuses you will never get anywhere... cos all your doing is keeping the problem at bay but never ever actually dealing with it.... Also if you make excuses all the time... people do catch on...
You sometimes think why bother... if they are gonna just give you excuses why should you make the effort to even care... no hopers i call them.....
Got this Securi ty Clearan ce form that i have to fill in the other day... one of the questions is quite funny.... Have you been involded in espionage, terrorism, sabotage. When i read this i was like wtf!
I mean if you were at the stage of applying for SC, that anwser would be No for what ever reason you are apply for it, the moment you tick yes you might as well rip the form apart
Anyway here's a new craze that people are doing... don't know why they are doing this though?
Morning started with me having dim sum at Phoenix Palace down Marylebone service wasn't great but is forgiven with the great food that is served.
Later on went shopping down Oxford Street.
Then in the evening headed down to the Nanobyte Bar to watch the footie. It was full of French and Italian people obviously... all joking and and being friendly to each other... the atmosphere was of a fun nature.
The French were chanting Allez les Bleus!!! Allez les Bleus!!! Allez les Bleus!!! (even though they were wearing white) and the Italians chanting I-Ta-Lia
I was cheering for the French team as Son and Minh are from france i thought i would choose the french to cheer...
Sadly the French lost then the party went outdoors with people dancing in the streets and car beeping there horns...
Soho Packed with people dancing and waving flags after the win
Outside the bar one fellow italian came up to me cos he wanted a picture taken with me..... maybe he had heard of this world famous blog! yeah right ... we had the same t-shirt... great minds think alike
Today started as anyother day i guess.... got into work and Adrian, Anisha, Inni and the Mog decided to cover my screens with post it notes.... prior to that day Adrian decided to disconnect all the cables from my pc.... grrrrr
Today we had the 2 minutes silents to remember the people who died in the 7th July bombings... as always with these minutes silents i find it always strange how quiet the office can be.
In the Evening I went to Ping Pong an all day dim sum restaurant, i couldn't believe how busy this place was.... we had to wait at the bar for 15min before we could get our table then we had to wait another 15 min just to order...
The food was of an ok standard.... wasn't that great to be honest... i guess it would be nice if you don't eat dimsum often but for the price you will pay you're better off eating in china town.
After eating went to watch Ju-on: The Grudge 2.... now i'm not really good with horror movies so i kept getting scared but watching it through i didn't think it was a good movie.
Someone must be talking about me cos i've been having hiccups for the past 2 days now.... can't get rid of it.
Today i went to Thorpe Park with Thanh, Mariyam and Anisha... managed to get lost on the way... for some reason i started to follow the signs to legoland!!!!! but got cussed by Mariyam so got back on track.... the M25 is a scary place some car nearly crashed into me cos when he was chaning lanes he decided to look the other way! wtf!
I didn't want to go on the detonator but the rest of the groups dragged me on... all the onlookers were laughing at us....
Thank god for fast track tickets.... we managed to jump the Q on most of the good rides... it literally takes you to the front.... gonna buy these tickets from now on!!!!! why wait hey!
Thanh and I didn't wanna go on Rush so we decided to go and rest .... i took a nap in the car was really tired!!!!
Oh Stealth (the new ride) was shut found out why by searching on Wikipedia
However, on the 21st of June 2006, the ride broke down, producing smoke, sparks, and power loss. The suspected cause for this is that part of the rubber lining of the catch car rubbed against the metallic edge of the catch car carrier, causing loud noise and smoke. The ride operator then pushed the emergency stop, which caused the brake fins to rise up, slowing the train slightly, but still leaving enough momentum to guide the riders through the rest of the track. When the ride stopped, the riders were stuck on the ride for about 30 minutes. At this point it is believed that nothing in the launch room has been damaged, and Thorpe Park said that the ride would be closed until the end of July. The seriousness of the accident meant that the queue line and the whole of amity cove was evacuated. A similar but more serious incident happened on Kingda Ka, also designed by Intamin.
Video blog (sorry there's a typo on the credits. long process to correct that so leaving it)
Today was really Hot! This is the type of temp you expect in Asia. It actually reminds me of it alot.
The wonders of air con... i don't know how i can live without it... my electricty bills gonna be really high this quarter been leaving it on all night... it was £300 last quarter !!!!!! i think thats cos we had work men in doing the Kitchen and bathrooms i think its normally £200 per quarter i think...
So glad i brought a new car.... this time last year i was falling asleep at the wheel in my micra as it was sooo hot! but now i don't even mind if i'm stuck in traffic just bang on the air con and just chill....
Suki brought me a gift today (wow such a nice friend!)... i guess an early b-day present it was the Nintendo DS Lite with Brain Training... Brain training is such a cool game!!!! The theory behind it is that when we watch TV etc we don't use much of out brain at all.... this game will stimulate your brain by making it work hard by giving you some brain excersies like maths, memory games etc... my my brain age is 44 at the moment.... lets hope it goes down!
Allez les Bleus!!! Allez les Bleus!!! Allez les Bleus!!!
Gonna support France now as England are out.... poor play by england it was really frustrating watching the game.....
Tonight I went to Crepe Affaire which is a really nice crepe place in central.... very fresh and tasty... they even serve crepe with chicken... never heard of that before!
Dim Sum is going all day now... I think in a few years time Dim Sum will be the next sushi.... Yauatcha is a mega expensive to have Dim sum... plates cost £5+ each compared to china town where its about £2.60.... now i can't understand why people would go there... the place has a 90 min maximum stay....
An alternative to Yauatcha is a place called Ping Pong... greate dim sum all day good value as well... dim sum for dinner how strange...
Crepes
Fresh Crepes!
Allez les Bleus!!! Allez les Bleus!!! Allez les Bleus!!!
Sun met up with Thanh, Phat, Yen and Chi for Dim sum at Hong Kong City in New Cross.....
It was quite nice!
Then we all went to the Greenwich park to chill..... we tried to play footie but after 5 min we were sweating and out of breath... didn't help it was well over 35 degrees.....
afterwards i was so tired from park decided to go home but when i got home i decided to sleep in the car as it was nice and cold.... after a while woke up was hungry so went to get a take away pizza then we home.....
finally today i have finished redoing my room... what started in oct 2005 is finally complete.
In oct 2005 i think i had a mid life crisis or something and threw all my furniture away and decided to start from scratch... (either that or i was watching to many DIY programs ) brought a new desk, storage unit, flooring etc.
Anyway I must have brought the most complex flat pack in the world (64 pieces on last count 52 being planks of wood). basically the shelf is based on the scaffolding look.... it doesn't look very industrial but very modern and urban like.
Anyway each item is module you build the item the way you want it. Each item you have to assemble as well... so its a flat pack within a flat pack.
Anyway i think it would have been quicker (perhaps like 3 days) but i got to work etc. I kept changing my mind and buying extra parts.... it took most of the day alone to put up the metal pipes alone... its not easy getting them straight.
Spoke to Danny today... i ain't seen this dude for like a year. I used to hang out with this mofo all the time... ah i miss the old days... (kill bill!!!! ahem!), I shouldnt forget mr Steve Case!!!!!! Dam this guy said he was gonna go teach english for a year and he still there!!!!! last time i saw him was xmas before i flew to japan...
Mr Danny
Mr Case
2.3 metre wide.
Last night I went to Randall and Aubin again.... yeah i know i went last week.... but i thought i'll treat a good friend.
Now i never realise what type of people go there till last night... its like 50% straight people and 50% gay people.... i guess thats understandable as the place is in Soho.
Then i was thinking to myself.... these waiters and waitresses are well friendly... and really good service.... then it hit me!!!!! They were all homosexual!!! but the thing is the atmosphere was very relaxed and chilled.... Waiters dancing, serving but chatting to you at the same time..... even the chefs were dancing! i thought wow Friday nights at R&A are soo cool!!!!
